Tay Clark is a native of Norristown, Pennsylvania, an only child of the late David and Mildred Clark. Born at Valley Forge Army Hospital, she graduated from Norristown Area High School in 1979 and earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Johnson C. Smith University in 1983, where she also pledged AKA sorority. While in college, she prepared for the US Navy; going into the Delayed entry program for almost a year prior to joining US Navy as a Radioman (IT) rating. She was on active duty for eight years until December 1992. She has encountered numerous social issues and challenges, transforming those experiences into opportunities to empathize and assist others. As a survivor of divorce, she learned to forgive and grow stronger, embracing her faith. Her trials taught her resilience, enabling her to confront adversity and also transformed her from a timid individual into a courageous one. Ordained as an Evangelist in February 2013 and later ordained and licensed in July 2022, she currently resides in Hampton Roads, Virginia, dedicated to serving her Heavenly Father and those He assigns her to. She is a testament to God's glory overshadowing her brokenness and loss. What was meant for harm has been transformed for her good, showcasing God's strength in her life. Adversities ignited a fire within her, revealing strength, wisdom, and resilience. Life's afflictions have taught her God's statutes and principles. She proudly embodies the DNA of an eagle: those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, mount up with wings as eagles, run without wearying, and walk without fainting. She is the proud mother of two young men and grandmother of three.
